I’m not angry with CBS for casting Lucy Liu. I’m not angry over the fact that Watson is a woman. I’m not even (that) angry over the fact that it’s taking place in Brooklyn.
I’m angry because there’s already a modern-day Sherlock Holmes. One that is still running. One that is shown on American television, to boot. Admittedly, it’s shown on PBS which not too many people watch, but it’s also on Netflix.
I’m angry that CBS is not creative enough to come up with their own show ideas. I’m angry because they saw that the SH films and BBC Sherlock are so successful, and they’re just jumping on the bandwagon.
I’m angry because I feel like they’ll ruin the stories and the main themes of Sherlock Holmes.
